The DHA Endodontics Specialist Exam is a mandatory, computer based Prometric assessment conducted by the Dubai Health Authority (DHA).
It evaluates the clinical knowledge, diagnostic skills, and specialty expertise of dentists seeking to practice as licensed Specialist Endodontists in the Emirate of Dubai.
To qualify for the Specialist Endodontist exam under the UAE Unified Professional Qualification Requirements (PQR), candidates must have:
• Basic Dental Degree: BDS, DDS, or equivalent recognized qualification.
• Postgraduate Degree: Master’s degree (MSc, MDS) or clinical residency/fellowship in Endodontics (minimum 2 to 3 years structured specialty program depending on the country of origin).
• Work Experience: Minimum of 2 to 3 years of active clinical experience exclusively as a Specialist Endodontist post master’s graduation.
• Good Standing: A valid Good Standing Certificate (GSC) issued within the last 3 to 6 months from your primary dental council.
• Exam Type: Computer Based Testing (CBT) with single best answer Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).
• Number of Questions: 150 MCQs.
• Exam Duration: 180 minutes (3 hours).
• Negative Marking: There is no negative marking. Candidates should select an answer for every question.
The passing score is 70%.
